Leather strop for knife sharpening (3" wide) with solid oak stropboard. This great looking strop is perfect for sharpening bushcraft knives, leatherworking & woodworking tools and straight razors.
This is an uncomplicated double-sided handmade tool or razor strop hand-made in Ludlow, England. Made from 3-3.5mm thick leather - top grain leather (smooth) on both sides - no nonsense and no plastic!
This is a sensible size strop board that is suitable for all purposes. It measures approx: 3" wide x 10" long (length does not include handle). Be assured, this strop is made from a solid 1/2" oak board with integral handle which has been given an oil finish for good looks and longevity. It will last for years. I even supply replacement leathers so you can keep it going indefinitely.
A nicely made and extremely solid job ready for hard work. We use these boards in our own workshop so we know they work!
P.S. Some people like to use a polishing compound on their strop. I always suggest Jeweller's Rouge because I use it myself. In my opinion it is the best compound to use and does a proper job of polishing the cutting edges of all my blades. I also use it to polish silver and precious metals because it is not too abrasive. Very useful stuff! - Please check out my other listings for blocks of Jeweller's Rouge.
